Technopark changes owners. It was bought by hundreds of millions of top eye surgeons

Technopark on the border of Prague's Jinonice and Stodůlek has a new owner. The administrative building, which houses the German Commerzbank, for example, was bought by the world-renowned eye surgeon Pavel Stodůlka.

Komerční banka has introduced a branch of the future

Komerční banka is changing the concept of its branches. As part of its unique design, it leaves the traditional banking environment and creates a space for meeting in a community style. The so-called In addition, the branches of the future use state-of-the-art banking and sustainable technologies and bring clients a new service model. Komerční banka has opened its first branch in Prague's Dejvice, and will renovate up to eighty of them in five years.

PASSERINVEST GROUP has invested more than a quarter of a billion crowns in the development of the public space and the pleasant transformation of BB Centrum

PASSERINVEST GROUP, the investment company and Czech builder behind the creation of BB Centrum (Brumlovka) in Prague 4, invested more than a quarter billion crowns in the modification and construction of the public space in 2020 and the first half of 2021. The amount of CZK 275 million crowns, without any state or other subsidies, was used for, among other things, repairs to Želetavska Street, the construction of the new Náměstí Ellen G. Whiteové, the installation of the moving sculpture “Brouk” (Beetle) and the reconstruction of Balance Club Brumlovka. In this way, the company is fulfilling its philosophy to build a sustainable, and environmentally- and user-friendly environment, which has been part of the company’s DNA from the very beginning.

JRD Group grows. It has a planned turnover of CZK 10 billion per year within ten years

The ever-expanding JRD Group, which covers five divisions under its brand (JRD Development, JRD Plazma, JRD Energo, JRD Property and JRD Invest), achieved total sales of CZK 2.14 billion last year. JRD Development occupies a dominant position in it, with last year's results of CZK 1.61 billion. The individual divisions cover a wide range of industries, from residential or land development through investments in profitable real estate to energy from renewable and secondary sources. This includes, for example, a portfolio of photovoltaic and wind power plants or a groundbreaking plasma waste gasification technology.

The combination of home office and office brings a number of risks for companies and people

The pandemic has changed the way we work and the way we spend our working hours. According to many companies and employees, the future of work is a hybrid model - part of the week we will work from home and part in offices. According to an Accenture study conducted in 11 countries around the world this year, 83 percent of respondents consider this way of working to be optimal. Maybe they should control their optimism. This model of operation is definitely not suitable for every company or employee and carries with it a number of risks.

UBM Development Czechia balances its results for the first half of 2021

The development company UBM Development Czechia published its results for the first half of this year. The company was successful in all real estate segments in which it currently operates on the Czech market: in the segment of housing, offices and hotels. UBM's strategy in the coming years is to focus mainly on residential construction, especially in Prague.
