The new face of Victory Square in Dejvice

The new look of Vítězné náměstí in Prague's Dejvice will begin to take shape thanks to the winning proposal from the consortium of studios Benthem Crouwel Architects, Opočenský Valouch Architekti, Rehwaldt Landscape Architects, PUDIS and AED. This architectural quintet joined forces to create a well-thought-out design for the fourth quadrant, which Prague residents call nothing else than "Kulaťák".

Crestyl is strengthening in Poland, having taken over one of the largest Polish developers, Spravia

Czech developer and investor Crestyl significantly strengthened its position in Poland when it completed the takeover of a fifty percent stake in Spravia from the Cornerstone Partners group. The Polish developer was originally bought by both partners together. In 2021, they paid 8.5 billion crowns for it, which meant one of the largest real estate deals in Central and Eastern Europe. The price of the current transaction was not published.

The Sebre development company of Petr Němek and Jan Fidler has come close to building one of its two major projects in Belgrade, Serbia. The Marina Dorcol district has received a zoning decision, and Sebre will thus be able to start pre-sales of apartments. Construction could begin next spring.

UBM will build the world's tallest wooden skyscraper in Vienna

UBM Development AG will implement the construction of the Timber Marina Tower project, a 113-meter high office building with a wood-hybrid structure in Vienna's Handelskai district. At the same time, the company progressed with the Timber View residential project and the Timber Peak office building in Mainz, and with the preparation of the LeopoldQuartier district in Vienna. UBM plans to become the largest European developer of ecological buildings with a wooden structure. In the Czech Republic, the parent company's vision is followed by UBM Development Czechia, which is building the Timber Praha residential project, the first wooden multi-storey apartment buildings in the capital. Compared to ambitious high-rise building projects abroad, however, Timber Praha's energy-sustainable houses have a maximum height of 12 meters, due to restrictions arising from domestic legislation.y

Sharry Platform to Connect Five DOCK Office Buildings in Prague

Sharry, a company developing a workplace experience platform around digital employee badges, has completed its largest project in the Czech Republic yet. It has launched a comprehensive digital solution for the office part of the Prague-based DOCK complex developed by Crestyl. The contract includes a mobile application "DOCK by Crestyl", which connects users from all five office buildings and contributes to the greater sustainability of the project.

The "Best of Realty" competition announces its 24th annual winner

On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at a gala evening in Prague's Karlín Forum, the results were announced and awards were presented to the best projects of the Czech real estate market for the past year. The winners of the 24th edition of the "Best of Realty" competition were decided by a nine-member expert jury headed by Tomáš Drtina, vice president of the Association for the Development of the Real Estate Market (ARTN). Out of the five dozen nominees, this year's awards went to projects across the entire Czech Republic. The traditional glass trophy traveled to, for example, České Budějovice, Hradec Králové, Kojetín, Lipno nad Vltavou, Opočn, Ostrava, Prague or Pilsen.

Large transactions have returned

Large transactions returned to the Czech real estate market. The first quarter of this year was the strongest in the commercial real estate investment market in the last few years. The market thus returned to pre-pandemic levels. The confidence of domestic investors is also constantly growing. However, the impact of the war in Ukraine and the expected stagflation of the Czech economy remain largely unknown.

At AFI Europe: Three rental housing projects will offer almost 900 units for rent

The development company AFI Europe is taking stock of the results for last year, in which it fully devoted itself to the implementation of its new corporate strategy focused exclusively on rental housing: It is currently building four buildings in Prague in three residential projects. AFIHOME Třebešín (formerly Tulipa Třebešín) is the furthest in the preparations, which was the first to achieve a rough construction. The house, which will offer a total of 61 housing units, should be completed this year. Another project is the multifunctional complex AFIHOME Karlín with a total of 170 apartments, which will complement the shops and services. He reached the glajcha at the turn of this year. The other two apartment houses are growing in parallel in the new multifunctional district of AFI City. The first of them already has a complete rough construction, the construction of the second building was started in November last year. In addition to rental housing, AFI Europe also approved and sold 80% of the luxury villa houses in Tulipa Třebešín, in which it also created a model apartment under the direction of designer Magdalena Hopkins. The company was also active in the field of commercial real estate and expanded its office portfolio with Avenir Business Park in Prague 5 - Nové Butovice. The company bought it for 66.5 million euros and is now almost completely occupied.
