The area of coworking spaces in Prague increases, further expansion is hindered by insufficient construction

With the development of work trends and a flexible approach to the working environment, coworking spaces are increasingly gaining ground in the Czech Republic. Their area grows by an average of 10-15 thousand square meters per year. Coworking spaces represent roughly 3% of all office spaces in the metropolis. In terms of square meters, Prague does not compare to Western metropolises, but within Central and Eastern Europe, this is an average value.

Home office is offered by 39% of companies. At the same time, 3 out of 5 young Czechs stand for the possibility to work alternately from home

The demand for a combination of working from home and from the office remains high even with the end of the post-covid period. It attracts young people the most, 3 out of 5 employees under the age of 35 would like to use it. Older generations, on the other hand, are more reserved on the issue. Less than half (41%) prefer to work purely in the office, only 15% of them use work from home in practice. A total of 39% of companies offer an alternating work model. This follows from a survey mapping the attitudes of employees and employers for Scott.Weber Workspace.1

Scott.Weber Workspace opens its third location in Prague 8 and its thirteenth location in Prague

The largest provider of private flexible offices and coworking is expanding to include the Dock location in Libni in Prague 8. The Thirteenth Center will offer a total of 350 office spaces, event spaces, private terraces and over 20 meeting and other rooms for concentrated work to increase productivity on an area of 3,190 m2. Scott.Weber in the Dock will provide an extraordinary number of relaxation zones in the spirit of well-being to ensure physical and mental health, well-being and thus the overall satisfaction of the workers. It will also offer clients a bistro with a chef who will use fresh ingredients directly from the roof terrace with a garden. The concept of modular event spaces is also used in the Dock.

Scott.Weber Workspace, which operates flexible serviced offices, coworking and event spaces, is expanding. In the new locations of The Park and Port7, it will offer 830 office spaces with an area of 7,322 m2, in addition to expanding the area in Atrium Flóra by another whole floor. The Park in Chodov is a campus of office buildings with exceptionally rich civic amenities. Due to the nature of the companies located there, the location is referred to as "Prague's Silicon Valley". On the contrary, Port7 is a newly built complex in Holešovice, which is considered to be the new Prague waterfront. And it is, for example, the only place in Prague that can be reached by seven modes of transport. The Atrium Flóra concept, where offices are located in a shopping center building, is being expanded by another floor due to its great popularity.
