ČEZ will buy the headquarters in the Smíchov City project from Sekyra Group, which has a dominant position in the office market

ČEZ has chosen the Smíchov City project by Sekyra Group for its new headquarters. The company has already started its construction. ČEZ will purchase the new headquarters, which will include three separate buildings with a total area of ​​44,000 m², from Sekyra Group upon completion in 2027. In addition to domestic architects, a major Swedish architectural studio also participated in the design of the buildings. ČEZ will be located next to the large campus of Česká spořitelna, which is currently under construction. Smíchov City is the largest urbanization in central Prague since the creation of Vinohrady, not only as a residential district, but also as a significant administrative location - business hub. Thanks to these significant investments, Sekyra Group holds a dominant position in the Prague office market with a roughly 80% share in the segment of construction of administrative buildings. Smíchov City is being transformed into a full-fledged district with a balanced share of residences, administration and leisure areas. The total costs of the Smíchov City project will reach 50 billion crowns, of which 35 billion will be private and 15 billion will be public investments, which will be directed primarily towards infrastructure.

Penta announces architectural competition for Florenc

Penta Real Estate, in cooperation with Prague and the city districts, has announced an architectural competition to design the form of four blocks between the main road and the Florenc bus station. Architectural teams can apply until December 13, and the winning designs will be published next fall. Representatives of Prague and Penta announced this on Friday. The Penta investment group also owns land near the nearby Masaryk railway station, where it completed the Masaryčka administrative building, which was awarded by experts.

Construction activity is beginning to move to the desolate southern part of Prague's Smíchov. Developer Sekyra Group is launching the second stage of its extensive project for the new Smíchov City district here. Within a few years, three administrative buildings should be built here, including the new headquarters of Česká spořitelna and a hotel. The private project for a total of 35 billion crowns will be followed up by the city and the Railway Administration, which are working here to modernize the railway and build a new transport terminal. Public investments will reach another fifteen billion crowns.

In addition, Penta plans to acquire additional parcels in the locality, thanks to which it would control the territory from Masaryk station to Pernerova Street in Karlín.

A consortium of Penta Real Estate, Kaprain Group and Sekyra Group bought land from the University of Chemical Technology (VŠCHT) in the western part of Vítězné náměstí in Prague 6 for an amount just over one billion crowns. It acquired a total of 20,122 square meters, ie the majority of the buildable area of the so-called fourth quadrant of Vítězné náměstí between Evropská and Jugoslávských partizánů streets.
