The unique and innovative technology, developed by Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies, is 70-80% lower in carbon footprint than conventional Portland cement. Given the climate threats, this combination represents a strategic partnership, the results of which will contribute to making the construction a more responsible and sustainable sector, given that cement production currently accounts for 6% of greenhouse gas emissions in France.

The studies, carried out jointly by partner companies, will enable us to obtain the certification needed for inclusion in Bouygues Construction construction sites in 2020. Philippe Bonnave, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Construction, said:  “As a leader in construction, Bouygues Construction is committed to meeting the challenges of growing urbanization while reducing environmental impact. The partnership we signed with Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies is an opportunity to co-develop innovation in our industry, delivering lower CO 2 emissions  and more sustainable construction for our customers. "

Julien Blanchard, chairman and co-founder of Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies, added: “Today, the construction industry needs to change rapidly in response to climate problems and the advent of new regulations. To meet these challenges, we have created new clinker-free cements based on industrial by-products. Our industrial approach to cement is truly an environmentally responsible and revolutionary solution in the construction market. This meaningful partnership is a perfect example of Bouygues Construction's desire to participate in breakthrough innovations in order to get the construction industry to commit itself immediately to a sustainable and drastic reduction in CO 2 emissions .
