This project is inspired by the shape of a light bulb and its facade will be reminiscent of running water. This is the Edison project in the centre of Brno between Koliště, Vlhká and Cejl streets. The building has six storeys reserved for more than 400 parking places, two shopping gallery floors and three floors for offices and administrative space. The last two floors are reserved for apartments and partially for cultural activities. Four floors will be underground and nine floors will be aboveground. The so-called organic glass envelope, which has two functions, plays a fundamental role in the architectural design of the Vlhká project. Its first function is to protect the building from noise from the street and the surrounding area. It will also encase it in a two-layer sheath, which will enable the building to keep cool more easily in the summer through controlled airflow and insulate it in winter as the result of a sort-of greenhouse effect. The building will behave like an intelligent green house, which will not create any pollution. This multi-functional building, with 13,000 m2 for lease, will be a unique building in the middle of Brno the second largest city in the Czech Republic and will contribute to the uniqueness of this city, with its abundant monuments, cultural facilities, where important trade fairs take place and which is the seat of the centre of judicial power.
